Linux from scratch

Here I am on my shiny new LFS build (with a few packages added from the Beyond Linux From Scratch project to get extra funtionality off the starting line). On thurday night I had the bright idea to build linux from scratch instead of working on my J2ME coursework and the project management stuff. So, I went to the website (http://www.linuxfromscratch.org) and downloaded the live CD and away I went.

Monday afternoons...

So, here I am... It's about 2pm on a very cold, windy (but dry) Monday afternoon trying to figure out what the hell I'm going to write about for the stage 2 report for our Database and Internet Application module.  I'm also trying to figure out how to install SATA drivers for the XP install I tried last night.  Didn't go well... It wanted them on a floppy, but what new laptop comes with a floppy drive these days??  I'm feeling a bit caged in with vista.

A bit random, but funny (to me anyways)

Bought aprils edition of linux format tonight and saw this advert for www.techradar.com/
