Linux commands

Some time ago someone asked for common Linux commands. I recently stumbled across a page that listed a lot of Linux/Bash ones that are VERY useful, along with a short description of each and a link to the man page. I know that for new users man pages are still a bit daunting but I thought it was worth posting incase it was of use to anyone.

New Project - LFS

Continued
I have decided what to do with the laptop. Nothing much to be fair, but far too much considering coursework is due next week.

I have started building LFS on it. I have currently got a working toolchain built and have started building the actual system today. It's taken me several days to get the toolchain built as I've made a lot of mess and had to restart 3 times.

XO Review Pt2

Continued from part  1
As the second half of the review on the XO I wanted to include the thoughts of some of the kids I've got to use it, unfortunately they were too engrossed to give me any more than "It's great"

New project

While at my mum's house I reaquired a laptop I haven't seen in a while. I mentioned on the list about this one, it was an old Toshiba that I installed Puppy onto. It's now not being used by anyone so I claimed it for my own. I am going to do my own "Pimp my laptop" type thing with it, not quite sure aesthetically what I'm going to do, it's a pretty ugly thing, I'll have a think.
