Let us know if this is correct or not.

There are still some more people that will be added to the list, send in your posts if I have missed you or if I have you in the wrong theme. Feel free to tell me if you don't like your nickname or handle, this is just a start, as the next meetings progress more information will be added.

Arron has said that approximately 2 weeks prior to Software Freedom Day there will be a practice run on the talks in the form of Flash Talks. He will give more information on this as the big day approaches.

It is perceived to be that there are approximately 10~12 talks which will be given over the day, this works out at 2 talks per hour of a talk of 20 minutes duration. We are still looking for volunteers for the making of signs/posters and people wanting to be guides and security. Anyway, things will be changed and modified, it is up to you to give your feedback.

At the next meeting on Thursday 14th August 2008, Gary Short will be giving a talk entitled “How to Give Good Presentations”. Gary is a software developer with Developer Express http://www.devexpress.com/ and has a great experience in giving presentations. Whilst it is pointed towards Software Freedom Day this is a must for anyone wanting to improve their presentation skills.

Cheers
